- Pros: budget trips outside US
- Cons: would like to see more local/US budgets
I really enjoy Budget Travel magazine and love seeing the amazing deals for places I love to travel to. This magazine has helped me plan and have great trips and save money in the process.

- Pros: Lovely pictures
- Cons: Less usable content
Unfortunately, the trend in today's information is getting more and more generic, and Budget Travel magazine is following the trend. I have seen a decrease in the amount of true budget helping content, and the increase in travel story content. I'm afraid I won't be renewing unless this changes. I want to know when to go to save money (low seasons), ratings of restaurants and things to do as far as value for the $ spent goes. I don't care about other peoples' memories that much; I'd rather save enough money per trip to make lots of my own memories!

- Pros: great name!
- Cons: little/no good info
Budget Travel magazine is getting smaller each month, and now is losing its advertisers fast. That probably means the end of the monthly issues is very close, and the content of those remaining cannot be of much use. Now all they have is stuff sent in by readers who want a chance to win some prize. The result of this is short articles about nothing of interest to anyone except the sender. When the advertisers leave a magazine you can bet its life is about over. Too bad. Arthur Frommer had a great magazine once, but these people in charge of it now... well, not so much!!

- Pros: used to be good
- Cons: shrinking fast
Save your money or look elsewhere for travel ideas. Budget Travel magazine may be going out=of=business from the looks of their recent issues. It appears the advertisers are leaving too, as the magazine now contains less than 70 pages when it used to be over 100, and informative.

- Pros: Inexpensive
- Cons: Shallow information; Poor photos
The few feature articles in Budget Travel magazine- sometimes only two - are very shallow and lack much meaningful content. Recently I have rarely used information from an article to plan a trip, let alone get inspired about a trip. Likewise, pieces about places I've visited don't seem to stress information meaningful to an independent traveler. I can't help but think some articles are nothing more than paid puff pieces. Photos and other art work are generally of poor quality and uninspiring. And please, let's hear about somewhere other than Italy.
