- Pros: Easy to read, concise, somewhat informative
- Cons:
I have read Consumer Reports magazine for years and have, on occasion, found it to be very useful in making an informed purchase and will continue to subscribe. They do, however, have something of a frustrating pretense at being more than they really are and that simply annoys the heck out of me.

- Pros: Insightful
I have been very pleased with my purchase of Consumer Reports magazine. It was a gift from my wife for Christmas and I think of her each time I read it. It gives very detailed information on the items I use every day. I recommend it to anyone interested in comparing items.

4 of 6 people (67%) found the following review helpful:
- Pros: examines new products in an informative format
- Cons: questionable automobile reviews
Consumer Reports magazine is not the all informative magazine that it once was but for the price it contains enough good information to justify its cost. I have never agreed with the automobile reviews or rankings. Every car that I have purchased for the last 20 years was not correctly reviewed, the cons about each one did not manifest themselves during my long ownership. If you are buying it just for the cars reviews, use with caution! I also think that they limit what they publish hoping that you will pay the over-priced online subscription to get the real information that should be in the very thin magazine.

- Pros: easy to read rating charts
- Cons: focuses too much on technology lately
Consumer Reports magazine is a very helpful resource if you are considering appliance purchases, exercise equipment, electronics, etc. Also the reviews of baby products can be helpful for safety-conscious parents.
